Our Values:
“It is our policy to minimise the harmful effects and maximise the beneficial effects of our activities on our environment. We recognise our Motel has an important role in protecting and enhancing our environment for future generations.
Our aim is to:
- Maximise our reusable, recyclable and recoverable waste.
- Minimise our energy usage
- Minimise our water consumption.
- Minimise any potential pollution.
- Minimise the use of chemicals.
- Minimise the impact of all other Motel activities on our local environment (e.g. noise, odours, traffic management, building development, etc).
We do this by:
Actively promoting recycling both internally and amongst our customers and suppliers. We source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.
Turning off lights and appliances when not in use (or when we leave the room). We encourage our quest to do the same.
Encouraging our guest to hang there linens for re-use and to place any linens for replacement into the shower cubical.
Opening all secured windows for airing daily when servicing to allow fresh air and to minimise any odours, we encourage our guest to do the same.
Sourcing out Biodegradable rubbish bags to use in our units.

ENJO products use no chemicals – they don’t harm the environment, and are designed to be used only with water. They are proven to clean faster, more effectively, economically, and in a more environmentally friendly and safer way than traditional cleaning methods. The ENJO product allows us to reduce chemical use by up to 90% on site. We are proud to restrict chemicals entering our local sewage system and water ways.
ENJO has ISO and HACCP accreditation & has been accepted onto the Sensitive Choice Programme by the Asthma & Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand for asthma & allergy sufferers.
