National Parks
The Buller region is surrounded by National Parks. Drive 20 minutes south to Paparoa National Park and see the famous Punakaiki Pancake Rocks, kayak into the rainforest, walk the beach and tramp the park’s tracks. 90 minutes north is Kahurangi National Park. Tour the famous Honeycomb caves, clamber under the Oparara Arch (the largest limestone arch in Australasia), kayak in the rainforest, raft grade 5 whitewater rapids and explore the bush walkways. Or take a one-day walk on the renowned Heaphy Track.
