Solid Energy Centre
Westport’s new Solid Energy Centre boost a range of activities for everyone to enjoy. With general and family times available at the Aquatic Centre you’re able to spend some time with your children in one of it’s three indoor heated pools, the Toddlers pool, the Hydrotherapy pool, or the Lap pool.

Hold a conference or a sport’s tournament. The centre is fully equipped with large conference rooms, a basketball and netball stadium, a hockey turf and squash courts.

For those on a strict or just looking for a simple work out then the Fitness Centre is the right choice for you. Exercise with state of the art gear; treadmills, stationary bikes, recumbent bikes, rowers, cross-trainers and steppers and a wide range of free-weights and pin loaded cable machines will keep your fitness levels up through out the year.

Beaches
Choose a white sand or black sand beach and take a stroll. Around here you can walk for miles and meet very few other people. Enjoy a picnic, explore rock pools, go surfing or ride a land yacht.

Walkways
Explore pristine native rainforest on a short stroll or a more ambitious hike. Local favourites are Charming Creek and Chasm Creek, with their relics of gold mining and sawmilling.

Sports
Play a round at Westport’s top class 18-hole course – five minutes’ drive from Westport Motels. The green fees are so cheap, you won’t believe it! The region also offers opportunities for squash, tennis, bowls, skateboarding and cycling.

Fishing
The West Coast is an excellent trout fishing region – or try surf casting.
